Tour for Kids Bike-A-Thon

T4K'14-SocialMediaWhiteOaksMontessoriThe Grade 3, 4 and 5 students at White Oaks Montesorri School decided to participate in the “Tour for Kids” Bike-A-Thon because we wanted to raise money for kids with cancer, so they could get treatment and go to camps such as Camp Trillium, where Isabella Lentini goes. She is a Casa student at our school, and her mother, Nicole Lentini founded ‘Isa Bella Vita’ cycling team which is also a fundraising team. We really enjoyed riding our bikes around the neighborhood and fundraising for kids with cancer, because it’s kind of practice before we get older and start fundraising even more. We really liked it. Also, it was a privilege to fundraise for something important like that. A lot of people donated money and sponsored us in the Bike-A-Thon, which we thought was really nice of them. A few of us just learned how to ride a two-wheeled bike just for the event. When we were riding, there were these red balloons all along the path to guide us. But then we took a wrong turn which we only figured out a couple minutes later, one of us realized there were no balloons. But overall, it was super fun.
