Some facts about my treatment; I had surgery to my brain, then four rounds of high intensity Chemotherapy followed by Radiation and a stem cell harvest and transplant

What do you want to be when you grow up?  I want to be able to do some of everything. I want to inspire other kids who have had cancer like me to know that they can do anything they put their mind to.

If I had three wishes they would be…

  1. No child like me would have to suffer.
  2. All children know that they are not alone.
  3. My friends with cancer have a wonderful life with their family.

I’m involved with Coast to Coast because… I want to help fight cancer. I want to meet other kids with cancer and try and help encourage them and be their friend along the way.

My message to other kids undergoing treatment; Fight cancer and be brave.

The worst thing about having cancer; I hated needles. I’m happy and proud it’s all over now and I’m very excited I had a chance to live.

Our Featured Ambassador

This is Josh Nelson – a childhood cancer survivor. He knows about facing all the challenges of childhood cancer:

“I know first-hand how it feels to be a prisoner in the hospital and endure the surgeries and the endless needles and treatments. I know how it feels to lose my hair, throw up regularly and watch other kids around me earn their wings. I lost a part of my childhood that I will never get back. I know how it feels to look different and to be different. That’s something that I wouldn’t wish for any other kid to go through, and that is why I do what I do.”
