Some facts about my treatment:

My treatment was scary at first, as it is for any child. However with the help of the staff at the IWK Childrens hospital I was able to finish my two and a half year treatment and continue to live my life.

What I want people to know about me:

What I want people to know about me is that even though I went through childhood cancer, my life has turned out better than I could have ever imagined. Going through this challenging experience has shown me what is important in life and that everyone should do everything they can in helping the fight againt cancer.

My favourite day was

My favorite day was when I got to leave the hospital after 3 weeks on christmas eve in time to spend the holidays with my family before returning for treatment.

The worst thing about having cancer

The worst thing about having cancer for me was becoming aware of what is happening to other children. Although I went through treatment as well, mine was not nearly as bad as other children. No child should ever have to go through what those children go through.

What do you want to be when you grow up?

When I graduate from univeristy I will be a child life specialist. I will help children with life threatening illnesses become more understanding of their treatment. Also I will help the families of the children get farmilarized with the daily routine of having a sick child. I believe that with the expereinces I have gone through I will be able to connect with the children. If I can help even one child get through their sickness it will make everything that I have gone through worth it.

My message to other kids undergoing treatment

My Message to other kids undergoing treatment is to never give up. This is most likely the hardest thing you will ever have to go through, but you will get through it. This is just another bump in the road but it is imporant to always keep a positive outlook and know that you are never in this alone.

If you could have one superpower strength, what would it be?

If I could have one superpower it would be the power of flying. So that I could travel the world whenever I wanted to.

If I had three wishes they would be...

Get rid of illness, buy my parents their dream house, never have to worry about my cancer returning
